Friends of the Foundation have contributed over $50,000 in cash, services and in-kind donations to support WDCAF fundraising. Friends receive special acknowledgment in the Foundation’s Souvenir Journal and Annual Report for donations over $100.

Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many individuals focus on end of year giving. Consider us.
Do More 24 Campaign
Do More 24 is the DMV’s largest annual 24 hour online fundraiser powered by the United Way of the National Capital Area. Donors can contribute to any of the more than 800 participating nonprofits, including WDCAF, to fund community programs and services.
Employee Matching Program
Many companies encourage their employees to give to and volunteer time to nonprofits in their communities and the employer will monetarily match those efforts. Employee Matching Gifts are donations an employer makes to match its employees’ charitable contributions. If your employer has a matching gift program, obtain the matching gift form from your Human Resources department and mail it to:

Planned Giving
Outright Gifts – Donate any major gift during your lifetime. Outright gifts such as cash gifts, stocks, bonds, mutual funds and real estate provide immediate tax benefits.
Bequest – You designate our organization as the beneficiary of your asset by will, trust or beneficiary designation form to fund grants and scholarships.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with WDCAF is a fun, impactful way to contribute to your community. While volunteering, you also can build camaraderie with your team, teach your children the value of community service or meet others who want to make a change in the world. COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN (CFC)
WDCAF is a charity partner for the CFC. All federal employees and retirees can donate. Giving options are available online at www.givecfc.org., the CFC Giving Mobile App or using a pledge form. Our designating CFC number is 52864
